Titled Conversations: India’s Leading Art Historian Engages with 101 themes, and More, the title will be published in January 2022 under the Allen Lane imprint of Penguin.
With this book, BN Goswamy, opens a window to a wide range of subjects: all on or around the arts. From Ananda Coomaraswamy to the Art of Calligraphy, Indian Painting, Farid-ud-din Attar’s great Sufi parable of the Conference of the Birds, Goswamy invites not only those interested and literate in arts but also the general readers to dive into the field of the arts. Conversations promises to be the most accessible, definitive, engaging, and comprehensive primer on art in India and South Asia, with the aim to inspire readers to learn something fresh, revitalize their appreciation and expand their minds.
